RSAAIDIAMONDS is a private commission house for laboratory-grown diamond jewelry. We do not hold inventory. We do not stock cases. Every piece begins with a conversation, a stone sourced specifically for you, and a sketch drawn before any bench work begins.
Most jewelry is sold the way furniture is sold. A showroom, a row of cases, a pre-built selection meant to fit the average buyer. The problem with that model is simple: nobody is the average buyer. The piece a person actually wants is almost never the piece sitting in the case.
We started RSAAIDIAMONDS to invert that model. Instead of building inventory and hoping a customer finds something close to what they wanted, we begin with the customer's vision and build the piece around it. Stone first, sketch second, bench work third, delivery fourth. Every step in that order, every time.
It is slower than walking into a chain store and choosing from a tray. It is also the reason the piece you receive is the piece you actually wanted.
An atelier is a workshop where a master craftsperson works on commission. There is no front-of-house showroom and no back-of-house mass production. Everything happens in the same space, by the same hands, under the same standards. That is what we are.
You speak with Dia, our gemologist, in writing or by voice. She listens for the wearer, the occasion, the budget, the style. No specifications until the person is understood.
We approach our network of sixteen suppliers and find the laboratory-grown diamond that matches your specifications exactly. GIA or IGI certified. No substitutions.
Within twenty-four to forty-eight hours, our master jeweler creates a two-dimensional sketch showing the exact stone proportions, setting style, metal, and dimensions. It arrives by email for your approval.
After you approve the sketch and the deposit invoice is paid, our Maryland master jewelers begin the bench work by hand. Two to three weeks of finishing, setting, and polishing. No overseas outsourcing.
Every diamond we set is laboratory-grown. That is a deliberate choice, not a compromise. Laboratory-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to mined diamonds. The same crystal lattice, the same hardness, the same fire. The only difference is where they were formed.
The advantages are real. Laboratory-grown stones cost roughly thirty to forty percent less than equivalent mined stones, which means you can buy the size, color, and clarity you actually want rather than the version you could afford. They carry no environmental footprint from open-pit mining. And every stone arrives with its original GIA or IGI grading report, the same independent verification used for the finest mined diamonds.
For most customers, the choice between mined and laboratory-grown comes down to one question: would you rather pay for the mining history, or for the piece itself? We took our position years ago. We pay for the piece.
Every setting we make is solid eighteen-karat gold, in your choice of yellow, white, or rose. We do not sell plated metal. We do not sell vermeil. We do not sell anything coated, bonded, or filled. If you wear an RSAAIDIAMONDS piece, the metal you can see is the metal all the way through.
The bench work is done in Maryland by master jewelers who have spent decades on settings exactly like the ones we commission. Prong work, pavé, halo, channel, bezel, eternity, three-stone, vintage cuts, custom designs from a customer's sketch. Whatever the design calls for, the hands that do it have done it many times before.
Every conversation at RSAAIDIAMONDS begins with Dia, our gemologist. She holds certifications from both the Gemological Institute of America and the International Gemological Institute. She has spent over twenty years guiding people through the questions that matter — shape, metal, occasion, wearer, budget — before any specifications are discussed.
Once a design is agreed and the customer is ready to move forward, Maya, our concierge, takes over. Maya handles sourcing communication, sketch delivery, pricing transparency, the deposit invoice through Mercury Bank, and final order confirmation. Where Dia is the gemologist, Maya is the project manager. Together they move a piece from idea to finished work without losing any detail along the way.
Both work in the same atelier. Both are reachable through the conversation interface on every page of this site. Speak with Dia from anywhere; ask for the Concierge when you are ready to commit.
Our atelier address is 4800 Hampden Lane, Suite 200, Bethesda, Maryland. We are by appointment only. The conversation that creates the piece happens online, by voice or in writing, with Dia and Maya. The bench work happens in Maryland.
We will not sell plated, vermeil, or filled metal. We will not sell uncertified stones. We will not pressure a customer toward a larger purchase than the one they came in for. We will not promise a delivery date we cannot meet. We will not outsource bench work overseas. We will not substitute a stone after the design is approved without your written authorization. We will not sell a piece we would not be proud to wear ourselves.
RSAAIDIAMONDS is a DBA of RSAAID LLC, a Maryland limited liability company. RSAAID LLC operates as the parent for several specialized businesses; RSAAIDIAMONDS is its laboratory-grown diamond and fine jewelry division. The atelier is independently funded, independently operated, and answerable only to the customers it serves.
Speak with Dia about a piece you have in mind. There is no cost, no commitment, and no specification required to start. Just a conversation.
